Smoke and Eats

My love for cooking started in grade school. I baked so many cookies and cakes for my family that my grandmother had a sign made for me that said "Beth the Cookie Maker". As I became an adult I enjoyed trying anything and everything in the kitchen. Above all, my favorite cooking method is low and slow! Smokers are not just for pulled pork and brisket (although those are two of my favorite!). Veggies, pasta dishes, cheese, fish and even condiments like salt can be enhanced with a little smoke.

I love to try different cooking methods and discover new ways to use the items in my fridge and pantry. When I'm not using my smoker, I might be feeding my sourdough starter, finding new uses for my fresh veggies or experimenting with a new electric pressure cooker recipe.  I hope this blog inspires you to share some of your favorite recipes as well!
